Ridgefield arena lesson program
Welcome to Ridgefield arenas lesson program where we are proud to offer the best instruction in both English and western riding. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment so that all of our students can learn to ride at their best.
Lesson prices Group lessons - $45 (lessons are 1 hour long tacking up your horse is included in this time) Monthly package - $35 per week must be paid in full before the first lesson of the month Private lessons - $55 (lessons are ½ hour)
Lesson times Group lessons Monday through Thursday from 4pm 8pm Adult groups Wednesdays at 9am and 10am Private lessons can be scheduled according to instructor availability
Cancellations and make-ups When unable to attend a lesson, please give seven (7) days notice. A message must be received 24 hours before the start of your lesson time to be eligible for a make up lesson. Make up lessons will be given during the group lesson times and must be completed before the end of the month. One make up lesson is permitted per rider per month. Any missed lessons will not be carried over to the following month. Lessons may be cancelled due to extreme weather and if this should happen we will contact you as soon as possible. We reserve the right to cancel lessons 4 days per year without crediting or making up lessons. Please check the barn answering machine for any lesson updates.
Attire A hard hat, long pants and boots with a 1 heel are required. Dress should be appropriate for the weather.
Routine Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your lesson. A list of horses and riders will be provided and if your horse is available you can start grooming and tacking up. A lesson assistant will be in the barn to help the students groom both before and after their lessons. When finished tacking up wait for the assistant or the instructor to tell you when to head to the ring.
Visitor safety Ridgefield has an outdoor patio as well as a heated lounge that are to be used by family and friends to watch lessons. Please do not stand at the rings or in the tack up areas. Please wear appropriate footwear when around the horses and follow any guidelines given by the assistants and instructors. |
